Once upon a time there was a family. This family lived somewhat out in the country, on a few acres of land. Because of this, this family always had multiple pet dogs and cats roaming around at any given time. I’m talking like upwards of three or four of each kind, plus usually some kind of small rodent and/or amphibian pets as well. Anyway. As the years passed, this family loved their pets so, so, so hard. The children frequently fed the pets people food when the parents weren’t looking, and oftentimes sacrificed their pillows at night so the dogs and cats could sleep more comfortably in their humans’ beds.
One very happy day, this family decided it was time to welcome another new pet into the family. At the time, only two dogs and one cat were in residence in this family’s home, so there was plenty of love and space to go around. The mom and the dad traveled to the local humane society, in search of a brand new pet to welcome home and love forever.
The dad, who in 62 years of age had never once had a pet that was truly “his,” quickly took notice of a tiger-striped, slightly-too-thin pup who looked to be a mash-up mixture of some kind of shepherd and Labrador. The dad played with the dog for a while, and the dog seemed to love him back. The mom agreed; this was the right dog for the dad to bring home.
So together, the three left the humane society and introduced the pup to her brand new FURever home with her brand new family, where she would receive endless love, tons of belly rubs and lots of room to run and play for the rest of her brand new life.
TL;DR – MY PARENTS ADOPTED A NEW DOG AND MY DAD NAMED HER MISSY AND SHE’S PRECIOUS AND I LOVE HER.
