Well friends it’s Friday (hallelujah) and that means it’s time to talk about good, warm and fuzzy stuff and link up with Chelsea at The New Wifestyle! Today’s “Tell Me Something Good” post is all about friendship. Fierce lady friendship, to be specific.
This weekend, one of my very favorite internet people is visiting another one of my very favorite people. In Vancouver. And I am not there. And it is devastating. But don’t despair, there is in fact good news: LAST NIGHT THEY CALLED ME WITH THIS FANCY NEWFANGLED CONTRAPTION THAT KIDS THESE DAYS ARE CALLING FACETIME AND WE GOT TO TALK FOR HALF AN HOUR AND ALSO LOOK AT EACH OTHER AT THE SAME TIME.
The future is now!
Juliette and Faith sat on Faith’s Vancouverean couch with wine glasses in hand, and I poured myself a cocktail and snuggled up in the comfort of my Texan bed. It was almost –ALMOST– like I was there with them. It was so good to see their beautiful faces! There’s nothing like making new friends, especially when it feels as though you’ve known them your whole life. We all live on different parts of the continent so it sucks that we can’t be together as much as we would like, but I am very glad I met these wonderful weirdos on the internet so many moons ago. They are kind, talented, brilliant, funny and beautiful inside and out. Our S.O.’s mostly don’t even think we’re catfishing each other anymore! Yay for progress. Yay for friendship!
I should have screenshotted our FaceTime convo (Is that even possible? How does this technology thing-a-ma-bob work? What year is it? Get off my lawn!) but alas I did not think of it, so please accept the following images I have pilfered from their Instagram accounts:
And here is a photo of us all together at Juliette’s wedding last September.
How I wish I were there with them. Maybe if the technology gods smile down upon us, I might be so fortunate as to get to FaceTime with them again over the course of the weekend. If I manage to make it through the day without throwing out my back or hip, that is.
