Model Behavior

Happy Friday friends! I cannot tell you how glad I am to see the weekend because girlfriend has been struggling. I have this new thing where my body refuses to get out of bed in the mornings. Like, it’s a straight up “Hell no.” I snooze, I toss, I turn, but nope. Nada. Zilch. There is no waking up to be had here. The rest of the days I am tired and sluggish, I feel exhausted to my very core.

I swear if somebody says “pregnant” I will punch them in the face. Well that’s a little extreme, I probably won’t really punch them in the face, but I will tell them quite vehemently that they’re wrong.

Moving on. Today I’m playing fashion blogger, and here’s why: Last night I stayed up way past my bedtime pretending to be a model and living it up at Tootsies, this fancy boutique in Dallas. Like I mentioned a couple days ago, the Southwest Blogger Society put out a call for models and – thinking there was no way they’d pick me, as I only joined like half an hour ago – I answered. So there I was, modeling a super cute dress I can’t afford, saying embarrassing things to a room full of strangers that I don’t really remember because #stagefright and having fun with some of my DFW blogger friends.

Because why mess with hair and makeup when you could be posing for pictures? with Valery ( and Stephanie (

Lord knows what I was saying. Clearly I missed my calling as a model/public speaker.

After the show there was wine. Cool, refreshing, delicious wine.

My friends Valery ( and Sevi ( are really fun, you would like them.

Same goes for Stephanie (

And then the most wonderful of things happened. THEO JAMES SHOWED UP AND WE DECIDED TO RUN AWAY TOGETHER. I WON MONEY. Tooties just so happened to be running a $100 store credit giveaway, and I just so happened to win, and with the $50 store credit I received for acting a fool modeling, it just so happened I could afford these $140 Sam Edelman shoes in “bordeaux.” And as we all know, I just so happen to be board with anything even remotely related to wine.

Even the bag is pretty. Though this will likely be the only bag I see from this boutique for a while…until I make my first million, that is.

Hello lovelies.

This is how I styled my precious new babies today. If you don’t like it, I don’t care.

Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go keep admiring my new shoes. Everyone have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!

You’re the only one who really looks like a model because you’re the only one of model height.

I love those pictures and you rocked that dress and I wish I could have been there.

And the way you styled your shoes and your whole outfit today is wonderful and you are highly skilled the end bye.

  • WHAT. STOP IT. I LOVE THOSE SHOES. I love BOTH pairs of shoes you are wearing up there actually. By anyyyyy change do you wear a 6 1/2? Please. Pleaseeeeee say yes.

That night looks like too much fun and I’m really jealous that all I did was watch re-runs of that 70′s show on my couch. And I wasn’t even wearing shoes. Or a bra. FAIL.

You did so good last night! Won’t even lie, pretty sure they thought I was Lindsay Hess when I screamed when you won. Those shoes and that outfit you paired it with – fierce!

I’m legitimately upset I missed that because I know I would’ve been cracking up.

SO. My first thought when I see you is “Model. That girl has to be a model. She’s tall and gorgeous and is killin that dress. She HAS to be a model”

Also. I have a caption for that one picture “Bitch please”

Um, that looks like it was so fun, and way to get some amazing shoes for freeeeeeee! But please don’t leave your blog for a glamorous life of modeling, because that’s obviously an option now but it would be really sad.
